This guide is for Developers, Administrators.

In order to run an installation of one of CoreMedia’s products, you need to have valid licenses.

As a CoreMedia partner, you will receive licenses for development purposes automatically by email on a regular basis.

Customers receive licenses when evaluating or ordering our software.

A CoreMedia license is valid for only one master release of a product. This means that if you migrate, for example, from CoreMedia Content Cloud 11 to CMCC 12, you have to request new licenses. Please do so by using our support helpdesk or by sending an email to support@coremedia.com.

When doing so, please provide the following information:

  • Master Release version (CMCC 10, 11, 12, …)

  • Environment (PROD, DEV, TEST, TRIAL)

If you wish to use IP limitation instead of time based, please provide as well (only if the licenses are not contractually date based):

  • IP addresses or host names of the servers running the content servers (CMS, MLS, RLS). Please use the following schema for the request:

    • CMS: 111.222.333.001

    • MLS: 111.222.333.002

    • RLS: 111.222.333.003,111.222.333.004,111.222.333.005 (in case you want to use the license for multiple RLS)

If you are using time-based licenses, we will inform you 2–3 weeks before your licenses expire via email and ask if the licenses should be renewed.

For information about how to install the licenses, please refer to our Documentation:

For detailed information about what the licenses allow, please refer to our Operations Basics Manual:
