The CoreMedia Application Plugin serves the purpose of standardizing and simplifying the building of applications build upon the cm.exe and cm.sh infrastructure provided by the com.coremedia.cms#application-runtime#zip artifact.
As displayed in the diagram below the plugin allows you to stack and merge artifacts of coremedia-application and zip packaging types, with the least amount of maven configuration as possible.
In addition to this the plugin supports the creation of webstart webapps either by using the modules resources or by using the resources of a coremedia-application dependency.
