5.6.1.4 Multi-Site Support

You can translate and synchronize variants into derived sites just like baselines (see Section 5.5, “Localized Content Management”). The baseline of a derived variant is the derived content item of the original variant's baseline.

When you create a variant directly from a baseline, its master property points to that baseline. This indicates that content changes come from the baseline, not from another content item in a different site. There are, however, no automatic processes for synchronizing variants and their baseline at this point.

Note

Note

Translation workflows do not include variants automatically. If you need a variant in a derived site, you must include it explicitly in a translation workflow.
