The spring-cloud-context module decrypts property values that are prefixed
with {cipher} while the Spring environment is being prepared, that is, before any
bean reads them. It can be used standalone: neither a Spring Cloud starter, nor a bootstrap
context, nor a Spring Cloud Config Server is required. Adding the dependency and configuring a
key is sufficient, because the module registers its
DecryptEnvironmentPostProcessor as a regular Spring Boot
EnvironmentPostProcessor.
Note
spring-cloud-context is not part of CoreMedia Content Cloud. You add the dependency
to your own application yourself, and you remain responsible for keeping it up to date and
for choosing a version that matches the Spring Boot version of your CoreMedia Content Cloud release.
