Introduction
The CoreMedia Content Hub lets editors access content assets stored outside of CoreMedia. Which Content Hubs are available depends on your individual configuration. Examples include a video on YouTube, a PDF in OneDrive, or an image managed by an external digital asset management service.
Getting Started
Working with externally managed assets is as straightforward as working with CoreMedia assets.
-
Open the Library and select the Content Hub you want to use.
-
Browse the external asset repository. You can also use the full-text search to find a specific asset quickly.
The Details panel shows information about the selected asset, as provided by the Content Hub. A thumbnail preview is also available.
Once you have found the right asset, click the Add icon to add it to the CoreMedia repository.
Depending on the asset type and Content Hub configuration, assets are either copied into or referenced from CoreMedia. For example, a YouTube video is referenced rather than copied.
For more details, see the Studio User Manual.
