The password hashing algorithm for elastic social user passwords. Allowed values are: {@code sha1} and {@code bcrypt:N}. The algorithm {@code sha1} is not recommended as it is vulnerable to brute-force attacks. The work factor N for bcrypt salt generation can be changed from the default value to an integer value between 4 and 31 (inclusive). This should be adapted to the available CPU resources.
