The former SearchServiceAdapter and corresponding
classes were replaced by the new SearchAdapter,
featuring a SPI architecture and offering
SearchServiceProvider as an
ExtensionPoint. The default implementation in
DefaultSearchServiceProvider implements the same
behaviour as the former SearchServiceAdapter.
