Table Of ContentsYou can translate and synchronize variants into derived sites just like baselines (see Section 5.5, “Localized Content Management”). The baseline of a derived variant is the derived content item of the original variant's baseline.
When you create a variant directly from a baseline, its
master property points to that baseline. This
indicates that content changes come from the baseline, not from another
content item in a different site. There are, however,
no automatic processes for synchronizing variants and their baseline at
this point.
Note
Translation workflows do not include variants automatically. If you need a variant in a derived site, you must include it explicitly in a translation workflow.
