The BOD Mapping only needs to be extended if you do not make use of the search based REST handlers. Per default search based REST handlers are active and there is no need to apply the following.
In order to retrieve more detailed information from the REST handlers, the mapping of the REST resources to the Business Object Document (BOD) nouns has to be extended.
To retrieve the SEO identifier of a product, create and edit the file
WCDE-INSTALL/workspace/Rest/WebContent/WEB-INF/config/bodMapping-ext/rest-productview-clientobjects.xmlaccordingly to the HCL Commerce Workspace archive.To retrieve the SEO identifier of a category, create and edit the file
WCDE-INSTALL/workspace/Rest/WebContent/WEB-INF/config/bodMapping-ext/rest-categoryview-clientobjects.xmlaccordingly to the HCL Commerce Workspace archive.
