Description of the settings of a survey question.

With survey questions, you can collect specific information from visitors and customers. You can create different types of questions, such as multiple choice, dropdown lists, text fields, and more. TODO: Describe what a survey really is. How is it used? Where does it appear? How do customers access it? It seems that a survey is also some kind of workflow that can be triggered by events. So not just a set of questions. And not only for external customers but also for operators/agents?

Select the language for the localized fields (fields with flag symbol).

Answer type

The type of question. Possible values are:

  • Text - Provides a text field to enter an answer. Limit the number of allowed characters in field Character Limit.

  • Textarea - Provides a text area to enter an answer. Limit the number of allowed characters in field Character Limit.

  • Dropdown list Provides a dropdown list to select an answer from a given list of options. Enter you data in Answer data, add more options with the + icon and select the default value in Default Answer. Answer data, Default Answer

  • Multiple choice Provides a checkbox list to select multiple answers from a given list of options. Enter you data in Answer data, add more options with the + icon and select the default value in Default Answer. TODO: It’s not intended for a quiz, because no correct answers can be defined. Answer limit TODO: What to enter here? Does not limit number of checked boxes.

  • Simple choice - Provides kind of a table with radio buttons to select one answer from a given list of options. Enter you data in Answer data, add more options with the + icon and select the default value in Default Answer.

  • Matrix Provides a matrix like structure to select from. Enter your column titles in Answer data, add more titles with the + icon. Enter the row titles in the text fields of Matrix lines. Select a default value from the dropdown lists below the text field. Add more titles with the + icon.

  • Custom Matrix -

  • Password* Provides a field where you can enter a password. The entered characters are hidden. Limit the number of allowed characters in field Characters Limit.

  • Email Provides a field to enter an email address. The entered value is validated to be a syntactically correct email address.

  • Hidden TODO : What is a hidden question? Gives a field that is not shown

  • Vat number Provides a field to enter a VAT number. The entered value is validated to be a syntactically correct VAT number.

  • Page break Moves the questions after the element to a next page and adds a next button to navigate to the next page.

  • Groups and skills -

  • Skills - Shows all skills TODO: Which skills from what source?

  • Date Nothing new to select. Provides a field with a data picker. Date format seems to be taken from survey settings.

  • Checkbox with link Adds a checkbox that you can only check when you have opened the link. Enter the link text in the Link text field and the URL in the Link URL field.

  • Numeric Provides a field to enter a number only. Characters Limit

  • Wrap up codes TODO: What means Wrap up code? Provides a dropdown field to select wrap-up code. ⇒ seems to be for operator to qualify the interaction as, for example, Order placed, request, critic…​.

  • Sales Bundle TODO: What is a sales bundle?

  • Schedule TODO: nothing happes when selected

  • Call client - Fixed name "redial"? I would assume that this triggers a recall to a client. So more a workflow than a question.

  • Lead type TODO: What is a lead type? I do not see any field or dropdown to select a lead type.

Name

An internal identifier for the question. The Name appears in the list of answers of the survey. For example, user_email.

Title

Title of the question that appears to customers on top of the question. For example, Email address.

Description

An internal description.

Trigger event

Event triggered when the customer completes the queston. For example, questionCompleted. The available events are defined in _Settings/TAGs and names/Events management.

Characters limit

Text, Textarea, Password

Yes or No. Select if you want to limit the size of a Text answer.

Answer data

Dropdown list, Multiple choice, Simple choice, Matrix, Custom Matrix

Enter here the possible answers for the question. Add new options by using the + icon. Remove options by clicking the - icon. TODO: Whats is select option field for?

Default Answer

Dropdown list, Multiple choice, Simple choice, Hidden

Select the answer that is selected by default.

Answer limit

Multiple choice

Enter the maximum number of answers that can be selected.

Options

  • Required -Check the box if the question is mandatory.

Class

HTML class attached to the question for custom styling.
