7.3.2 Sencha Cmd Removal

Sencha CMD is no longer needed to build the studio-client. This means Java 11 and Sencha CMD no longer need to be installed. Because this is one less step during the studio-client build the build is now also faster.

For this some (third-party) packages have been updated to new (major) versions. Make sure to do the same as well for every additional package in the studio-client workspace:

  • @coremedia/sencha-* to “^1.1.0”

  • @jangaroo/ext-ts to “^2.0.0“

  • remaining @jangaroo/* to “^3.0.0“ (except for @jangaroo/eslint-config, see Section 7.3.3, “Changed Linter Rules”)

  • typescript to “^5.3.3”

  • eslint to “^8.56.0”

  • rimraf to “^5.0.5”

The Dockerfile in apps/studio-client/Dockerfile.tooling no longer has a sencha-layer and the corresponding installation for Java 11 and Sencha CMD have been removed. Please also mind the dependency adjustments in the npm-tooling-base layer.
