CoreMedia Studio Client

Fixes to the Taxonomy Administration UI (Tags App)

The taxonomy administration UI (“Tags” application in CoreMedia Studio) had some flaws that have been fixed:

  1. A taxonomy tree not backed by a _root settings document to point to your top-level nodes failed on deletion of the last taxonomy within that tree.

  2. A _root settings document without required roots property caused a failure when accessing the corresponding taxonomy tree.

  3. Moving nodes to their children not only caused creating a cycle within the tree but also caused CoreMedia Studio to hang until reload. Creating cycles has been prevented.

Upgrade Notes

Fixing the first issue required to make any folder within the taxonomy root-folder a taxonomy root node. Prior to that only non-empty folder were considered. Thus, you may want to check your taxonomy or taxonomies (for site-specific taxonomies) for any unwanted root-level nodes and delete corresponding empty root-taxonomy nodes.

As benefit, it is now simpler to get started with a new taxonomy root, as you just need to create the folder and can continue within the taxonomy administration UI adding new taxonomies directly.

The test TaxonomyResourceTest moved to its correct package location and extended by many more use-cases.
