Viewing Workflow Results

Last updated 18 minutes ago

View the results of a workflow in Engagement Cloud.

Prerequisites

Before you start:

Steps

1. Use the registration form

  1. Open an incognito window in your browser.

Because the example workflow has type Visitor, you need to use an incognito window so that Engagement Cloud can create a new visitor id. If you use a normal window, the Engagement Cloud retains the same visitor id and won’t trigger the workflow again.

  2. Open the URL with your registration form. For example, https://www.yourdomain.com/registration-form.

  3. Enter the information in the registration form. For example, enter Peter Rabbit in the name field and peter.rabbit@mail.com in the email field.

  4. Click Submit

When you click Submit, the survey triggers the Name and Email for the Workflow event.

  5. Close the incognito window.

TIP: Use a landing page to test the registration form. For more information, see Configuring a Landing Page.

2. Check the workflow editor

  1. Open the workflow editor in the Engagement Studio.

  2. Select Node entrances in the Stats type dropdown in the top left corner of the workflow editor.

  3. Wait a few seconds until the workflow processes the event and updates the statistics.

After processing the event, the Add and Remove from List element shows 6 in the top right corner of the element, indicating that one visitor has passed through this element.

3. Check the contact list

  1. Select Engagement in the left sidebar.

  2. Select Contact Lists.

  3. Open the contact list with name Visitor Name and Email (Workflows).

  4. Verify that the contact list contains the visitor information from the registration form. For example, verify that the contact list contains a contact with name Peter Rabbit and email peter.rabbit@mail.com.
