Adding, Editing, and Connecting Elements
Add elements to your workflow, edit them, and connect them to create complete workflows.
Prerequisites
Before you start:

Have a user with:
-
Permissions to use the Engagement Studio.

Group Supervisor or Manager.
-
-
Have the user logged in to the Engagement Studio.

Have created a workflow.
-
Have created and configure at least one event with name
Name and Email for the Workflow. -
Have created a contact list with name
Visitor Name and Email (Workflows).
TIP: Open the Engagement Studio while following this how to guide.
Steps
1. Open a workflow

Select Engagement in the left sidebar.

Select Workflows.
-
Open an existing workflow. For example, click on the workflow with name
Registration.
2. Add a Webcare Event element

Drag and drop a
Webcare Eventelement from the toolbar on the top of of the workflow editor to the workflow canvas. -
Enter the element information in the Edit element window:

Name: Enter a name for the element. For example,
Webcare Event. -
Event Name: Select
Name and Email for the Workflow.

Select the Context data tab.

Map the context data fields as follows:

Variable name:
visitor_name
Title:Visitor Name
Data source:Visitor Name (Event) -
Variable name:
visitor_email
Title:Visitor Email
Data source:Visitor Email (Event)

Connect the
Startelement to theWebcare Eventelement.
NOTE:
-
visitor_nameandvisitor_emailin column Variable name are the internal names that we give to the fields in the workflow. We can use these names to reference the fields in the next elements of the workflow. -
Visitor NameandVisitor Emailin column Title are the display names of the fields that you can also use in the next elements of the workflow. -
Visitor Name (Event)andVisitor Email (Event)in column Data source are the names of the fields in the event created before starting this workflow.
3. Add an Add or Remove from List element

Drag and drop an
Add or Remove from Listelement from the toolbar on the top of of the workflow editor to the workflow canvas. -
Enter the element information in the Edit element window:

Name: Enter a name for the element. For example,
Add to List. -
List type: Select
Contact List. -
Contact list: Select an existing contact list. For example,
Visitor Name and Email (Workflows).

Map the contact list fields as follows:

Contact list field:
Email
Value type: SelectContext data
Value:Visitor Email -
Contact list field:
Name
Value type: SelectContext data
Value:Visitor Name

4. Add an End Workflow element

Drag and drop an
End Workflowelement from the toolbar on the top of of the workflow editor to the workflow canvas. -
Connect the
Webcare Eventelement to theAdd or Remove from Listelement. -
Connect the
Add or Remove from Listelement to theEnd Workflowelement. -
Click Save in the top right corner of the workflow editor.
Result
After you click Save, the Engagement Studio saves the workflow with the new elements added, edited, and connected. You can now activate and test the workflow.
