Activating or revoking SSO for a user

Last updated 12 minutes ago

Learn how to activate or revoke Single Sign-On (SSO) for an individual user.

Prerequisites

  • You have permissions to use the Contact Center and Analytics Studio (CCAS) and the Manager role. Supervisor and Operator cannot see or use the SSO ENABLED field.
  • You are logged in to the CCAS.
  • The target user has a valid email address on their profile.
  • SSO is already activated for your account. See Activating SSO for your account.

Tip: Revoking SSO for a user does not require any database access. Use the SSO ENABLED checkbox instead. However, when you have to enable SSO for more users at once, you can ask CoreMedia Support to run a database script for you.

Steps

1. Open the user profile

  • Open the Apps icon, then Management, then Teams.
  • Select the user from the Teams list, or use the Search field to find them.

2. Check if the user has an email address

On the Data tab, check if the user has a valid email address. If not, you need to add one before you can enable SSO for them.

3. Update the SSO ENABLED field

  • If the user has a valid email address, continue with the next steps.
  • On the General tab, expand the Backoffice section.
  • Check or uncheck SSO ENABLED.
  • Click Save.

Note: Checking the field enables SSO for that user. Unchecking it disables SSO and routes the user back to the standard username and password login on their next attempt.

Result

A User updated successfully toast confirms the change.

If SSO was enabled, the user is directed to the SSO login flow on their next login attempt. If SSO was disabled, the user is routed to the standard login and can sign in with a password, or is guided through a first-time password set flow if they had not set one before.
