The ContentStringPropertyValueChangeEvent has been enhanced with the property descriptor which the value belongs to. The CommerceBeanInvalidator checks the property descriptor and handles only values of properties named "externalId". If your content model contains other observed properties that contain commerce IDs to be handled by the CommerceBeanInvalidator , you must adjust CommerceBeanInvalidator#isApplicable .
